Nepal is home to the Himalayas, the highest mountain range of the world. There are 9 peaks that are 8000 metres high. There are trekking trails on the mountain slopes of various difficulties and they are considered to be the most important trekking routes of the world. Our trek will be carried out in Nepal, where the majority of the Himalaya mountain range is located. We will meet the exciting culture of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, cross through mountain villages and reach the giant mountains that have shaped the world’s mountaineering culture. Our trek does not require any technical knowledge. However, since we will be trekking at a high altitude, the trek does require mental and physical strength. The most difficult parts of these activities are the daily altitude change, 6-7 hour trekking on pebbly and dusty trails for 12 days, being away from the daily luxuries such as a clean toilet and a simple shower, getting used to the new diet and smells, being away from technology and the internet, and pushing the strength of your muscles and mind to the limit. Of course all these difficulties come with a grand award at the end: reaching the base camp of the highest mountain in the world, walking around on the skirts of this extraordinary mountain range, seeing breath taking views, reaching the holy land of mountaineering, witnessing the simple and spiritual life of the mountain people, spending two weeks together with new friends, visiting the Kathmandu temples, inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage List, visiting the Budist and Hindu Temples to understand the difference of these two faiths, walking around and shopping in the colourful streets of Kathmandu.
